Terrie McKee is a Christian author and speaker who blogs at NearYourAltar.com and Homeschooling1Child.com. A survivor of domestic violence, she is married to her husband Greg and together they have four children, three of whom are adults. Terrie homeschools their youngest, daughter Laura. She is highly familiar with the struggles of disabilities, with her husband being paralyzed from an attempted armed robbery, and all four of their children have special needs ranging from autism to ADHD, juvenile diabetes to chronic migraines and dyslexia. She teaches with authority, drawing on real-world experiences and grounded in the Bible. She speaks to church and community groups about surviving trauma, special needs, being a biblical woman of God, and other topics.
