Jena Fellers walks by faith, not by sight—both physically and spiritually. Accepting Christ as her Lord at a young age, Jena enjoyed helping others in every way possible. She was active and a leader in her local church and community. During college, she was diagnosed with an incurable, progressive eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, yet, with God’s help, received her degree in education, and went on to teach.

After losing much of her vision, and receiving her disability, she married Steve Fellers. They have three children and four grandchildren. All live nearby. In Baxter Springs, Kansas, Steve and Jena have pastored Trinity Worship Center since 1998, where Jena serves alongside. Her regular duties include playing her flute on the praise and worship team, and teach/preach both children and adults in varying capacities.

In 2009, they co–founded Word in Action Ministries, a program that rebuilds lives through feeding and other services. This ministry was truly faith-based as God took it to a bigger level than either of them could ever imagine. Steve and Jena were totally dependent on God to provide funds, volunteers, and food, while they organized as much as possible.

As an author , inspirational speaker, and co–pastor, Jena loves to share personal stories, especially about the miraculous ways she has witnessed God working in her life. Her passion is to educate and encourage others to follow Christ a little closer through blogging, writing, speaking, and in person. The only thing she enjoys more is doing it with family by her side.

Jena blogs at ChangingFocus.life , and recently released her second book, Five Keys to Surviving Life’s Storms.

From Mishaps to Mission

Have you ever been excited about something, only to have it all fall apart? Do you wish you could go back in time to avoid misery?

Steve Fellers understands. When he set off on a long bus ride to go pick up a gift car in another state, what was supposed to be a blessing turned into exhausting delays, crimes, sirens, and accidents. While others might have given up, Steve discovered at the end of it all that blessings can be found even in the midst of pain and sacrifice.

In this modern-day memoir, discover how several grim mishaps culminated in a glorious mission.
